Threadveins and spider veins, otherwise known as telangiectasia, can occur at any age and can appear on the face or legs. They are small, dilated, fine blood vessels lying under the skin's surface and can be associated with skin ageing, sun damage/photodamage, pregnancy, certain medications, rosacea and alcohol.

At Lasersmooth Clinic, the treatment used to reduce the appearance of threadveins is with advanced electrolysis, a simple but effective procedure in which a mild current is applied to the skin.
